<\/figure>\n\nThe jury had selected ten employers, who have liberally enabled and supported their employees in joining firefighting and rescue operations or taking part in exercises and training courses for a number of years. \u201cThey make this voluntary commitment possible, which contributes to the wellbeing of our society as a whole.\u201d<\/i> NRW Home Secretary Ralf J\u00e4ger expressed on presenting the award.\n<\/p>\n
\nW\u00f6hler, the machinery specialist from Bad W\u00fcnnenberg, has been supporting the voluntary fire service for over 80 years now. The family business has 233 employees. Nine of these serve in the voluntary fire service, one in the technical relief service THW and two in the rescue service DLRG. The Chief of the voluntary fire service in Bad W\u00fcnnenberg, Martin Liebing, has been in the company for almost 25 years. \u201cThose who serve voluntarily in such unpredictable fields as firefighting and rescue work have my greatest respect and it is immensely important for me to support this.\u201d<\/i> Managing Director Dr. Katrin W\u00f6hler stressed. All members of these named voluntary services are released from their normal work for operations, exercises and training courses. The training and instruction of these dedicated employees is actively supported: Not only are facilities provided for training courses, but also materials and machines for necessary servicing and repair work.\n<\/p>\n
\nDr. Katrin W\u00f6hler was presented personally with the award, together with Martin Liebing. \u201cIt was an appreciative event in a small but festive setting and it was clearly a matter of importance for the Home Secretary.\u201d<\/i> She continued \u201cThis award means for us as employer that our natural view of social responsibility has been both highlighted and honoured. This is an obvious incentive for us to continue in this way!\u201d<\/i>\n<\/p>\n
\nCongratulations came also from the Town Mayor Christoph R\u00fcther, who accompanied the duo to D\u00fcsseldorf. \u201cMy sincere congratulations go to the W\u00f6hler company for this particular award. This is a great opportunity for me to say thank you for this exemplary support both personally and in the name of the town of Bad W\u00fcnnenberg.\u201d<\/i>\n<\/p>\n
