BINGO-Day 2012 at Wöhler
BINGO-Day 2012
Experiencing engineering – the fascination of technology!
Physics groups of the Büren grammar schools are given an insight into engineering careers at Wöhler Brush Tech GmbH.
It was that time again: On 29 June the so-called BINGO day was held at Wöhler Brush Tech in Bad Wünnenberg!
As part of the official cooperation between Wöhler and the LFG School the company was visited by 54 pupils to offer them an insight into the many different aspects of an engineering career. BINGO is a regional promotion organisation for engineering careers, actively supported by the state of NRW and the regional engineering network OWL to which Wöhler Brush Tech GmbH belongs. The aim is to present engineering to pupils interested in science and technology and encourage interest in such a career.
5 engineers of the Wöhler team introduced the pupils to working procedures based on practical examples and demonstrations in development, design, production and assembly, as well as in electrical engineering. A further workshop was offered covering technical and commercial vocations at Wöhler.
Matthias Peveling, managing director of Wöhler Brush Tech GmbH, spoke about the company’s longstanding support of the BINGO day: “The promotion of young colleagues is of particular importance, as the development and refinement of new production processes by Wöhler engineers is an important element in safeguarding the company’s future. As a recognised training company we have been supporting projects and dissertations with practical applications in mechanical and electrical engineering for a number of years now.”
Based on the positive response the BINGO day shall be repeated in 2013!
