Wöhler In-house exhibition March 2013
In-house exhibition March 2013
On 7th March our very first in-house exhibition of deburring and edge rounding technology was held here by our EdgeRacer division.
Our in-house exhibition was well attended by interested customers who were able to see the EdgeRacer B 1500 D in full production operation together with the cleaning machine W 1500 and convince themselves of the exceptional performance of the machines and the outstanding quality they produce.
This was the first time of presenting the innovative two processing machines in operation directly linked together. Managing director Matthias Peveling opened the event with a brief introduction into the world of brushmaking machines – the main sector of Wöhler Brush Tech – and the company’s history.
Following the technical part of the presentation (lowest processing costs compared to the competition; main advantages of the system, such as energy efficiency, throughput performance and 3D processing) the focus was placed on practical problems in the sheet processing sector and their possible solution using the EdgeRacer technology. After a short break the visitors were shown into the production facility to convince themselves of the processing quality. Detailed questions were answered directly around the machines and the discussion continued while taking a snack.
Rudolf Brenken, also managing director of Brush Tech, took the visitors on an exciting journey across the world of brushes and brushing machines, made light by a few interesting anecdotes. The visitors were shown an optimally operating production process: One operator placed the components within seconds on a roller table into the cleaning machine and a second operator took the cleaned and deburred parts off the roller table exiting the EdgeRacer. Everybody was able to “accompany” the parts on their way through the machines and experience the performance close up: The parts entering the cleaning machine were heavily oiled and sharp edged and clean and perfectly deburred on exiting the EdgeRacer.
Once the official programme was over several visitors took the opportunity of having their own samples they had brought processed, to ensure that their requirements could be met. Norbert Ledwig, divisional sales manager, anticipates good business following the exhibition: “These weren’t the usual trade fair visitors, simply looking to inform themselves, but rather qualified visitors with expert knowledge, expecting comprehensive and detailed information on their specific requirements.”
Matthias Peveling continued: “There were concrete talks on exciting new projects that we can realise. There is a very good chance that we will supply the first compact processing line in the coming weeks!”
