10 years of BINGO at WOEHLER

Introducing pupils to the world of engineering professions: Finding talents and realising perspectives. This is the aim and purpose of BINGO – the professional offensive for engineers in OWL (Ostwestfalen-Lippe) – an initiative supported by the machine specialist Wöhler Brush Tech GmbH in Bad Wünnenberg.

Machine engineering and technology is the most important sector for economic growth and jobs in OWL. BINGO was founded to give pupils insight into the career perspectives offered by small and medium sized companies in our region.

This is a creative way using unconventional methods of bringing pupils into contact with regional companies, showing them the diversity of careers in an industrial company: From industrial engineers in sales and mechanical engineers in design and development to electrical engineers in production and programming.

At WOEHLER engineers of all disciplines work together creating innovative machinery and technology in global demand.

WOEHLER supports BINGO with the aim of sustainable image improvement of technical apprenticeships and engineering studies. In the long-term this should provide more qualified professionals in the fight against the threatening future lack of specialists.

The efforts put in to BINGO by WOEHLER over the last 10 years have already begun to bear fruits: Some earlier BINGO participants, introduced by WÖHLER to their career aspiration, have since joined the WOEHLER Team after successfully completing their apprenticeship or study, enriching the company with their creative concepts and specialist knowledge.

Safeguarding the future of local industries and raising the awareness of the quality of the location are the main aims of WÖHLER in supporting the BINGO initiative: A major benefit, not only for the company itself, but rather for the region as a whole.
